THE COURSES INITIATION TO PRINTMAKING
For people with little or no prior knowledge about
printmaking, a course based on the exploration of each technique and its possibilities.
The course aims at grasping the basic skills in dry point, etching and
general printmaking,
HOURS : tuesday and thursday from 16.00 to

COLOR PRINTMAKING
This course is addressed to artists and Fine Arts students an extension
of their knwoledge and skills in printmaking. The goal of the course is to give advice an
guidance in color printing for the different printmaking techniques. This is a course with
a strong experimentation and discovery component. Printmaking techniques are the framework
for research in the creative process. Along the course the traditional Hayter roll-up will
be thoroughly practised, a method that allows the obtention of several colours on the same
plate in a single pass through the press and other interesting possibilities, that are
derived from this ones. Other possibilities and abilities will be explored through the
development of the personal work of each student.

WOODCUT : PRINTMAKING OF WOOD
An introduction to large format woodcut. Wood, linoleum and D.M are
some of the materials used. Prints will be made on blank and white as well as in colour
experimenting with different mechanical and manual printing techniques as well as
different types of paper.

ADDITIVE TECHNIQUES, CARBORUNDUM AND COLLAGRAPH
Additive techniques are charaterized by their fast execution
speed, richness in texture and the ability to freeze and reproduce an almost pictorical
gesture. The course focuses on the creation of prints with this technique but always
respecting the students own graphical language. The aim of all the work along the
course is to investigate the infinite possibilities that appear whn working with
alternative support using

INITIATION TO ARTISTIC SILVERSCREEN
This course is addressed to people with little or knowledge
about silverscreen technqiue. There will be 32 teaching hours divided into eight
theoretical and practical sessions. The goal is that students get a sound understanding of
foundations and of the main principles of this technique so as to be able to develop
his/her creative abilites through the multiple resources that silverscreen allows. With
this goal in mind as many prints as the student needs will be created, starting by the
manual elaboration of the matrix and ending by obtaining it by photomechanical means.
