The Reconstruction of the Temple of Isis at Phile.
Using Paintings by David Roberts, made in 1838, as source material.

 |
This is how the temple appeared to David Roberts in November 1838.
“I was entranced by the splendid composition of its colours; they seem to be freshly painted”
Unfortunately, all the paintings were washed away when the temple was flooded due to the building of the Aswan dam. However, thanks to David Roberts I can accurately reconstruct the colour details.
